On September 3, 2025, a meeting of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Ostrava was held, which officially launched the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the faculty. The program included the presentation of Gold Medals to prominent figures from the faculty and cooperating institutions, as well as the awarding of Georgia Agricola commemorative medals to experts for their long-term cooperation and contribution to the development of teaching and scientific and research activities of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. We are honored and pleased that among the awardees was also a professor from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering TUKE - Prof. Ing. Peter Demeč, CSc., who received this prestigious award for the significant development of knowledge and contribution in the field of mechanical engineering, especially production technology and machines, as well as for his invaluable contribution to the development of industry in the Czech and Slovak Republics. On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude to Prof. Ing. Peter Demeč, CSc. We sincerely thank him for his many years of professional and scientific work and at the same time we heartily congratulate him on the award he received.

KVTaR employees participated in teambuilding in the Dobšinská Ice Cave. Then they went horseback riding and tried archery. The successful teambuilding was concluded with a hearty lunch together.

Study Robotics
The teaching in the program is devoted to the design, construction and planning of robots, including mobile and service equipment and systems used in practice as the so-called peripheral devices of robotic technology, which are characterized by high functional, movement and handling capabilities, mechanical accuracy and high reliability.
WHY STUDY ROBOTICS?
- Robotics is the field of the future.

- The new field is therefore of great interest, especially in graduates who "understand" with robots.
