23.6.2023 našu katedru navštívili študenti Súkromného gymnázia, Dneperská 1, Košice. Počas ich návštevy ich zamestnanci a doktorandi našej katedry zoznámili s možnosťou štúdia na našej katedre, ako aj s moderným vybavením, ktoré majú možnosť študenti využívať pri štúdiu vybraných profilových predmetov na našom študijnom programe Priemyselné inžinierstvo, ako v bakalárskom tak aj v inžinierskom stupni. Stredoškolákom sa naše pracovisko veľmi páčilo a pevne veríme, že sme niektoré tváre nevideli v našich priestoroch naposledy.

On October 2, 2023, a successful defense of the written part of the dissertation examination of our full-time doctoral student Ing. Ján Kopec. I congratulate Janko and wish him many successful ideas in his further work at our department as well as in writing his dissertation.

On March 24, 2026, the Institute of Industrial Engineering, Management and Applied Mathematics presented the TUKE Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to high school students in Rožňava. Specifically at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik Gymnasium in Rožňava and the Business Academy, Akademika Hronca 8, in Rožňava.

The presentation was provided by Ing. Jozef Trojan, PhD. and Ing. Monika Dúlová, PhD., who introduced the students to the study options, the focus of the faculty and the application of graduates in practice.

We would like to thank the school management and the teaching staff for the kind welcome and the opportunity to introduce our faculty to the students.

Yesterday, February 25, 2026, we hosted a presentation by a practicing expert, Senior Manager Juraj Živický from Prosight Slovensko, a.s., on the topic of Financial Literacy and the most common mistakes that people in Slovakia make.

On October 11, 2023, a presentation by experts from practice will take place on the grounds of our department, among which will be our external doctoral student Ing. Michal Dic, working at Siemens. The lecture on the topic: NEW GENERATION of product development for today's engineers in the Solid Edge platform will take place from 11:30 a.m. in room PK9-206 and is intended for students in our department.
