On September 21, 2023, a scientific council was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice connected with the defense of the habilitation thesis of our colleague from the Department of Industrial and Digital Engineering Ing. Juraj Kováč, PhD.. After completing all the necessary requirements, the scientific council unanimously agreed on a positive voting result and recommended Ing. Juraj Kováč, PhD. to obtain the title of docent, which will be awarded to him by the rector of the Technical University in Košice in the near future. Hearty congratulations

On April 20, 2023, a faculty round of Student Scientific and Professional Activities was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice. Section 5: Industrial engineering, management and environmental engineering, was presented in the premises of our department and was attended by 7 students.

On March 30, 2023, a field meeting of the Science, Research, and Innovation Working Committee of the Automotive Industry Association of the Slovak Republic was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice. This meeting was organized at the invitation of prof. Ing. Petra Trebuňu, PhD.. Various topics related to current issues in the direction of the automotive industry were discussed and topics closely related to the education process at universities were also discussed. Members of the working committee also took part in a tour of the premises and equipment of SjF TUKE, including the TestBed 4.0 laboratory premises, which is located in the premises of our department and is the first of its kind in the entire Slovak Republic.
