DEAN'S DIRECTIVE ON THE ORIGINALITY CHECK OF FINAL AND HABILITATION THESES AT THE FACULTY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, TUKE
Pursuant to the methodological guidance of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic No. 56/2011 on the requirements for final theses, their bibliographic registration, storage, and accessibility,
I hereby issue this directive:
The result of the originality check of final and habilitation theses of students and staff of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is set at a limit of 25%.
Any exceeding of the above limit will be reviewed by the Education Council, which will submit a recommendation to the Dean, who will decide on the student's or staff member's participation in state examinations or the habilitation procedure.
A final or habilitation thesis may be revised once with the written consent of the program guarantor.
In the event of exceeding the established limit again, the topic must be changed, and a new thesis must be assigned.

BACHELOR’S STUDY PROGRAM
Automotive Manufacturing (AM)

 

The education and training of bachelor’s degree students in the Automotive Manufacturing study program are focused on acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of advanced materials, technologies, and analytical tools used in the design of automotive components, the organization of their production, and their assembly with the support of CAx technologies. Students can further develop their creative and innovative skills through solving case studies, projects such as the Shell Eco-marathon, and modifications of the Volkswagen e-up! electric vehicle. The graduate profile also includes knowledge and skills in vehicle testing, sales, operations management, vehicle maintenance management, and other activities related to the automotive sector in accordance with the requirements of ISO TS 16949 quality standards. Graduates gain experience in teamwork when solving technical problems, managing small teams, and improving their presentation and communication skills. The Automotive Manufacturing study program enables graduates to enter the fields of automotive production, sales management, service, vehicle technical inspection (VTI), and the supplier sector of the automotive industry.

ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM
Automotive Manufacturing (AM)

 

The education and training of students in the Automotive Manufacturing study program are focused on preparing specialists for the development of new products, design of manufacturing processes, and management of automotive and automotive component production. Graduates acquire theoretical, research, professional, and practical knowledge of innovative trends in automotive manufacturing. They gain knowledge and competencies in the following areas: technologies for manufacturing automotive components, vehicle assembly, testing, production engineering, structure of production workplaces, logistics, and the organization of supply chains in the automotive industry. Graduates also acquire knowledge in the development of new and innovative products using computer-aided design and engineering techniques, virtual reality, prototyping, as well as reverse engineering. They master methods of lean and agile manufacturing. The graduate profile also includes proficiency in a foreign language and adequate knowledge of economics, management, environmental studies, and safety. Graduates possess additional knowledge enabling them to work in teams with other professions involved in ensuring production (marketing, service services, logistics, etc.)..
