Automotive Manufacturing (AM)
The education and training of bachelor’s degree students in the Automotive Manufacturing study program are focused on acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of advanced materials, technologies, and analytical tools used in the design of automotive components, the organization of their production, and their assembly with the support of CAx technologies. Students can further develop their creative and innovative skills through solving case studies, projects such as the Shell Eco-marathon, and modifications of the Volkswagen e-up! electric vehicle. The graduate profile also includes knowledge and skills in vehicle testing, sales, operations management, vehicle maintenance management, and other activities related to the automotive sector in accordance with the requirements of ISO TS 16949 quality standards. Graduates gain experience in teamwork when solving technical problems, managing small teams, and improving their presentation and communication skills. The Automotive Manufacturing study program enables graduates to enter the fields of automotive production, sales management, service, vehicle technical inspection (VTI), and the supplier sector of the automotive industry.

BACHELOR’S STUDY PROGRAM
Smart Automotive Technologies (SAT)

The graduate of the bachelor’s study programme will acquire the ability to:
- independently and in teams read, create and interpret technical documentation in accordance with applicable technical standards,
- effectively solve technical problems by applying knowledge of electrical engineering, mechatronics, information technologies and manufacturing processes in the automotive industry,
- make well‑founded decisions when selecting and implementing suitable methods, technical procedures and digital tools in the context of Industry 4.0,
- use state‑of‑the‑art digital systems for configuration, monitoring, diagnostics and optimisation of production lines and automotive technologies,
- integrate data from production, diagnostic and information systems to increase the efficiency, quality and reliability of processes,
- participate in the design, implementation and operation of smart manufacturing solutions in the automotive industry,
- communicate and collaborate with specialists from production, maintenance, IT and management when solving technical and organisational tasks.
Graduate employment opportunities
Graduates of the bachelor’s study programme Smart Automotive Technologies find employment in a wide range of professions focused on modern, digitalised and automated automotive production and services. They can work as production technicians, smart production line operators, maintenance technicians, system diagnosticians, technical support specialists and managers of car service centres. They are employed in production and service teams, in companies focused on the automotive industry, at suppliers of technologies and components, as well as in technological, service and commercial companies oriented towards smart technologies and Industry 4.0 solutions.
Thanks to the programme’s focus on digital tools, automation and interconnected production systems, graduates are prepared to respond flexibly to labour‑market requirements and to contribute to the introduction of innovative solutions in smart automotive production both in Slovakia and abroad.

ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM
Automotive Manufacturing (AM)
The education and training of students in the Automotive Manufacturing study program are focused on preparing specialists for the development of new products, design of manufacturing processes, and management of automotive and automotive component production. Graduates acquire theoretical, research, professional, and practical knowledge of innovative trends in automotive manufacturing. They gain knowledge and competencies in the following areas: technologies for manufacturing automotive components, vehicle assembly, testing, production engineering, structure of production workplaces, logistics, and the organization of supply chains in the automotive industry. Graduates also acquire knowledge in the development of new and innovative products using computer-aided design and engineering techniques, virtual reality, prototyping, as well as reverse engineering. They master methods of lean and agile manufacturing. The graduate profile also includes proficiency in a foreign language and adequate knowledge of economics, management, environmental studies, and safety. Graduates possess additional knowledge enabling them to work in teams with other professions involved in ensuring production (marketing, service services, logistics, etc.)..

ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM
Engineering Technologies and Materials (ETaM)
The study programme of the III. degree of the university study Mechanical Engineering Technologies and Materials is designed for graduates of engineering studies in the field of study Mechanical Engineering. The aim of the study programme is to deepen the knowledge acquired at the second level of study, which is related to the student’s scientific work in the field of structural materials and their chip and chipless processing, simulation and optimization of technological processes and the application of computer support at various levels of technological systems. This study programme will prepare students for independent problem solving in the fields of forming, machining, welding, joining, surface treatment, plastics processing, casting, assembly, engineering metrology, powder metallurgy and CAx technologies. Graduates will acquire competencies to master the scientific research and development methods used in the field of manufacturing technology using current information technology. The study programme also emphasises the acquisition of communication skills and abilities in both native and foreign languages.
