On March 9, 2026, first- and second-year students of the master’s (engineering) study program “Automotive Production”, who study in English, participated in an excursion to Lear Corporation Seating Slovakia in Prešov. During the excursion, the students were introduced to the history of the company, its product portfolio, and its engineering activities. Subsequently, they were familiarized with the welding technology used in the production of structural seat frames, the process of evaluating weld quality, and the possible defects that may occur during welding. At the end of the excursion, the students visited the company’s production facilities, where they had the opportunity to see the press shop, welding operations, assembly lines, as well as the incoming and outgoing warehouses of the plant. This visit allowed the students to verify that the knowledge they acquire at the university is directly connected with industrial practice, and that after successfully completing their studies, graduates will be able to find employment in the industry.
