We solve data processing from V-REPU (CoppeliaRobotics) video (Video_V-Rep.avi) in attachment, a model of a robotic arm composed of URM, to SOLID and Matlab, for kinematic simulations.

The video (URM_multibody_kinematics_clanok_3.avi) of the same trajectory can also be viewed Annex (trajectory p7_3.jpg), but already generated in Matlab based on data from (IK) inverse kinematics environment V-Rep, which we based on cooperation with the Faculty of Technical University of Ostrava.

I also attached a picture of the trajectory of the components of the position vector (effector), which performs the movement along the prescribed trajectory. However, there is a discontinuity of motion due to limitations in V-Rep software. This process is additionally modified in the Simulink environment. In Attachment:

The trajectories of the components of the effector position vector_ before modification.pdf and the trajectories of the effector position vector components after modification.pdf. The result of this processing is clearly visible in the shape of the trajectory images (trajectory p7_3.jpg) - after treatment and (trajectory p7.jpg) - before treatment.

3D URM printing from composite
URM (curvature): modification and production of the connecting member, which is inserted between the URM 02 modules. The original design of the component made of duralumin was reworked due to the need to reduce weight and improve the mechanical properties of a robotic manipulator assembled from URM 02 modules. The newly designed curvature is made of composite materials, the plastic matrix is reinforced with continuous carbon fiber, which makes the resulting product significantly lighter than the duralumin version, it is made of one piece of material which ensures higher rigidity of the component and the whole module assembly. Production takes place on the state-of-the-art Markforged Mark Two 3D printer. SolidWorks and Eiger CAD programs were used for editing.

URM (Unlimited Rotation Module) is developed and patented at the Department of Manufacturing Engineering. The solution is suitable for machines and equipment that require unlimited freedom of rotational motion. The designed machines and equipment can achieve different motion options and degrees of freedom using unlimited rotation of two adjacent modules, which are interconnected by a motion link. The development of the 4th generation URM is currently underway.

Study Robotics

 Havicka WEB EN Rudo

The teaching in the program is devoted to the design, construction and planning of robots, including mobile and service equipment and systems used in practice as the so-called peripheral devices of robotic technology, which are characterized by high functional, movement and handling capabilities, mechanical accuracy and high reliability.

WHY STUDY ROBOTICS?

  • Robotics is the field of the future.
  • Lots of job opportunities and good financial evaluation of the industry.
  • The new field is therefore of great interest, especially in graduates who "understand" with robots.
  • We focus mainly on practical skills.
  • Teaching on real industrial robots of all basic kinematics.

WE OFFER YOU:

  • excursions, workshops and seminars organized in cooperation with companies,
  • job prospects in the field,
  • participation in projects solved at the department,
  • internships.
